Create a Slack workspace
This is it: the moment your Slack workspace flickers into existence. ✨ It's a good day!
Here's how to create a new Slack workspace

- Visit the workspace creation page: slack.com/create.
- Enter your email address. Make sure it's an inbox you can access for the next step!
- Slack will send a confirmation code to the email address you entered. Keep an eye on your inbox for the email.
- When the email arrives, enter your confirmation code to continue.
- Follow the directions on each page. You’ll have a chance to select a display name, password, and workspace name.
- Open the Slack app.
- Tap Get started.
- Enter your email address. (We'll be sending you an email!)
- On the same mobile device, check your email and tap Confirm Email Address to return to the Slack app.
- Click Create a new workspace.
- Enter the name of your Slack workspace.
- Create the workspace's Slack URL. Try something like company-name.slack.com.
- Create a display name and password.
- Open the Slack app.
- Tap Get started.
- Enter your email address. (We'll be sending you an email!)
- On the same mobile device, check your email and tap Confirm Email Address to return to the Slack app.
- Click Create a new workspace.
- Enter the name of your Slack workspace.
- Create the workspace's Slack URL. Try something like company-name.slack.com.
- Create a display name and password.
- In your mobile browser, visit the workspace creation page: slack.com/create.
- Enter your email address. Make sure it's an inbox you can access for the next step!
- Slack will send a confirmation code to the email address you entered. Keep an eye on your inbox for the email.
- When the email arrives, enter your confirmation code to continue.
- Follow the directions on each page. You’ll have a chance to select a display name, password, and workspace name.
