Manage members of your organization
The Admin Dashboard allows you to manage the members of your ever-evolving organization from one central place.
Use the Admin Dashboard to:
- View and edit members’ profiles
- Change members' roles and permissions at the org-level
- Deactivate members and remove access to workspaces
- Send SSO rebinding emails
View and edit profiles
Org Owners and Admins can edit the profile info for any member in their Enterprise Grid org:
- Sign in to your Slack Enterprise Grid, then click Manage organization.
- Under Organization, click Members.
- Search for a member, then click their name to view their profile.
- Click Edit Profile in the top right and make your changes.
- Click Save Changes.
Change a member’s role on the organization
Org Owners can allow other members to help manage workspaces within the Enterprise Grid org:
- Sign in to your Slack Enterprise Grid, then click Manage organization.
- Under Organization, click Members.
- Search for a member, then click their name to view their profile.
- Click the three dots, then Make Org Owner or Make an Org Admin.

Deactivate a member’s account
Deactivating a member’s account will permanently log them out of all workspaces the member has access to. You can remove a member from your entire organization or from select workspaces:
Remove from org
Remove from workspace(s)
- Sign in to your Slack Enterprise Grid, then click Manage organization.
- Under Organization, click Members
- Search for the member(s) you’d like to deactivate and click the box next to their name(s).
- Click Disable in the top right.
- Click Yes, Deactivate This Account to confirm.
- Sign in to your Slack Enterprise Grid, then click Manage organization.
- Under Organization, click Members
- Search for the member you’d like to update and click their name.
- Click Workspaces in the left-hand column.
- Select Manage Workspaces in the top left.
- Hover over the workspace and click Remove from workspace.
Send an SSO rebind email
You can send SSO rebinding emails when a member's session ends:
- Sign in to your Slack Enterprise Grid, then click Manage organization.
- Visit the Organization page of the Admin Dashboard.
- Click Members, then search for the member you’d like to send an SSO rebinding email to.
- Click on the member's name to open their profile.
- Click the three dots, then select Send SSO Rebind Email.
What happens next
The member will receive an email from Slack to connect their SSO account to your Slack Enterprise Grid. They’ll need to click Authenticate your account to begin the binding process.
