Manage referrer information
Some websites track their visitors to see where they’re coming from. This kind of tracking is called referrer information. This means that clicking a link shared in Slack could reveal your workspace or org's URL to that site.
By default, Slack hides your workspace and org's URL from external sites' logs. Clicking links in Slack will trigger a redirect that removes your Slack URL. You won't notice a thing — it all happens behind the scenes!
If you’d like, Workspace Owners and Admins can disable this redirect. Keep in mind, this could possibly share your Slack URL with external sites.
